At this 3-day conference for mental health support workers, I will be presenting a talk titled "One Connection, One Change." This presentation invites participants to reflect on the profound impact a single interaction can have on a client’s life. I’ll share the story of Karen, a Social Worker whose belief in me and commitment to my integration into the community changed the course of my life . Her support helped me find stability and offered me a second chance—a powerful reminder of the lasting difference support workers can make.

Join us for an inspiring and heartfelt evening with author and bipolar advocate Sandra Steiner.
Sandra shares her journey from multiple mental health hospitalizations to becoming a successful fitness instructor, author, speaker, and mom. Participants will have the opportunity to practice the cognitive and dialectical behavior therapy techniques she uses to manage the ups and downs of bipolar disorder and thrive in everyday life. Participants will also gain insight into local mental health resources and leave equipped with practical tools to support their own well-being.
